Toll services have improved especially during this pandemic. Almost everything is cashless and in this case, they invented RFID technology.
This is a way for a smooth and contactless ride for the drivers. Since almost all of us don’t have plenty of time to go to payment centers to reload our RFIDs, we can make use of e-wallet apps such as GCASH.
This is the most convenient way to reload without the hassle of going out. We can reload with just one click away!
What is RFID?
RFID stands for Radio-Frequency Identification, which is a technology that allows automatic identification and data capture using radio waves.
In the Philippines, RFID is used for toll payments in various expressways, such as NLEX, SLEX, CAVITEX, and SCTEX. There are two types of RFID in the country: Autosweep and EasyTrip.
Autosweep is valid for expressways managed by San Miguel Corporation, while EasyTrip is valid for expressways managed by Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation.
If you have an RFID account and a GCash account, you can easily reload your RFID balance using GCash. This is a convenient and cashless way to pay for your toll fees. In this blog post, we will show you how to load RFID using GCash in simple steps.
